The Internet is full of online Businesses, Data Entry, and other so-called work at home opportunities. While some of these sites do provide legitimate methods to make some money the vast majority are either outright scams or so difficult to make any money from that they can virtually be considered a scam. At least 90% of the work at home businesses, data entry sites and other online opportunities are a complete waste of time and money and should be avoided.

This is how much you can expect to pay for these work at home 'opportunties' and they usually average around $50.00. I have personally tried several data entry sites and have only lost money. Firstly I lost money through purchasing these programmes and then lost some more money in advertising costs. You see the use of the words data entry, typing or type at home is misleading as it implies that you will be making money by typing or entering data of some kind.
What you are actually doing is promoting various products advertised on the Internet as an affiliate by typing adverts and posting them to various Internet sites. This is how these businesses can get away with calling their products data entry or typing work from home. The typing or data entry component of this work is just writing adverts and posting them to sites to promote physical goods or digital products which people purchase and then download to their PC. Each time a person clicks on an advert which you have entered will cost you money, anywhere from $0.10 to more than $5.00 per click, regardless of whether the person viewing your ad chooses to purchase the product. You will only be paid a commission if the person clicking on your advert then decides to buy the product you are promoting.
In this way the use of the term data entry is deceptive as you are in effect just trying to promote and sell a product. The actual business and potential to make money relies solely on the slight chance that these adverts will be viewed by a sufficiently large enough audience and that the people viewing your adverts will also be interested in buying the product. Also these adverts will be competing with potentially millions of other adverts and sites currently listed on the Internet. To make any profit will then depend on the visitor reading your advert choosing to purchase the product after clicking on it.
Not only is it very difficult to write a convincing advert, it can be very difficult to get a decent ranking in the search engines so that your advert will be viewed by enough people. The advert will also need to meet specific criteria to be accepted by Google, Yahoo and the other search engines. If these factors didn't make it hard enough, Affiliate marketing has now become such a highly saturated market with so many people trying to earn commissions this way that it is no longer feasible just from this perspective alone.
However this does not mean that all Online Data Entry and Internet Businesses are scams. Fortunately there are some legitimate work from home opportunities.
